Activities and experiences
When you check in at Hotel Arctic you have the opportunity of experiencing what many people dream about but only few actually enjoy. Just to mention a few: a trip on a dog sledge, a helicopter trip to the glacier, sailing among the icebergs or visits to unforgettable Greenlandic villages. It is like choosing from a list of your favourite foods. Almost impossible, but whatever you choose it will be a fantastic experience - you will remember this for the rest of your life.

You can walk to the mouth of the Ice Fjord - it is just behind the town. How about a boat trip on the Ice Fjord, or - in winter - an adrenalin kick as a passenger on a dog sled? All year round, there are helicopter trips from Ilulissat across the 50-kilometre long Ice Fjord, which is a designated UNESCO world heritage site. Read more here.
The region offers walks in the summer - and cross-country skiing in the winter. See the opportunities year round in this table of activities.
